Phillip Thomas Trotter

Phillip Thomas Trotter, 69, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at MUSC-Lancaster Medical Center.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. John David Wilson officiating.

Mr. Trotter was born February 23, 1955 in Chester County, SC and was a son of the late CB Trotter and Doris Ferrel Trotter.  He was a graduate of Great Falls High School Class of 1974 and formerly worked as a convenience store manager.  Phillip enjoyed carpentry and loved fishing, cooking, NASCAR and football.  He was an avid SC Gamecock fan.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Great Falls and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He is survived by one brother, Michael Trotter of Great Falls; three sisters, Donda Trotter Roof of Great Falls, Sonja Wilson (David) of Great Falls and Carol Trotter Hammons of Winnsboro; numerous nieces and nephews who called him “Uncle Bo”; and his best friends, Greg Melvin, Fred Thomas and Hambone Brown.  In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by a brother, Brady Trotter and a sister, Karen Trotter.
