Ralph "Buddy" Varnadore

Great Falls Ralph C. “Buddy” Varnadore, Sr., 87, died Wednesday, May 09, 2018, at Springs Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 11, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Denley Caughman officiating.Interment will followin Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Friday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Varnadore was born August 1, 1930 in Chester County, and was a son of the late George Varnadore and Edna Castles Varnadore. He attended the schools of Great Falls and owned and operated Varnadore’s Garage and Wrecker service with his son, Ralph . Mr. Varnadore was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served 15 months in Germany. He was instrumental in getting the Shrine Clubbuilt in Great Falls , and was a member for over 50 years. Buddy was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls, SC. He is survived by his wife of 65 years , Betty Jo MorrisVarnadore;one daughter-in law, Terry Varnadore of Great Falls; one grandson, Michael C. Varnadore ( Janetta Baker) ;great granddaughter, Rayne Varnadore ,(Stephen Underwood) of Kershaw; one great great- grandson Malaki Underwood; and several nieces andnephews .Mr. Varnadore was preceded in death by his son, Ralph C. Varnadore ,one brother and five sisters.
