Rock Hill Mr. Ralston “Dick” Dixon Edwards, Jr., 71, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill with Rev. Ray Koterba officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the home of Wayne and Nancy Edwards, 1747 Kallaramo Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. Mr. Edwards was born August 9, 1940 in Rock Hill and was the son of the late Ralston Dixon Edwards, Sr. and Margie Becknell Edwards.He graduated from Rock Hill High School and attended Mars Hill College , Mars Hill, NC.He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Impact Mailing Services in Charlotte, NC. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Shannon Edwards of Great Falls; two sons, Ralston Dixon “Chip”Edwards, III of Denver, NCand Jeff Roddey Edwards of Richburg; one brother, Wayne Edwards of Rock Hill; and a granddaughter, Channing Edwards of Lancaster.
