Great Falls Mr. Ray Henry Chappelear, 66, died Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Great Falls Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Henry Adams and Rev. Mitch Ingram officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Monday at the church. Mr. Chappelear was born August 24, 1949 in Lancaster, SC and was a son of the late Raymond Chappelear and Louzenia Carnes Chappelear.He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and was formerly employed with Springs Industries and Haddon House Distributors.Mr. Chappelear was a member of Great Falls Church of the Nazarene. He is survived by his wife, Donna “Doni” Deese Chappelear; three daughters, StephanieChappelear of Lancaster, Sandra Deese of Newberry, and Karon Deese Hazel (Jimmy) of Prosperity; one son, Billy Deese of Newberry; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Anne Duncan of Lancaster.Mr. Chappelear was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dean Chappelear.
