Richard Conrad Roof, Sr.

GREAT FALLS: Richard Conrad "Hacksaw" Roof, 61, died Monday, November 22, 2010 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Patrick Blackmon officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Roof was born in Chester, SC a son of the late Richard Allen Joe Roof and Roxie Dillinger Roof. He attended the schools of Chester County, was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was retired from Salem Produce Company as a long distance Truck Driver. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gallman Roof; two sons. Randy Todd Wyatt of Chester, SC and Richard Roof, Jr. of Blackstock, SC; one daughter, Barbara Leeann Lee of Great Falls, SC; one brother, Jerry Roof of Lancaster, SC; five grandchildren, Richard Eric Lee of the home, Garrison and Nathan Wyatt both of Chester, SC and Deanna Roof and Josie Abercrombie both of Great Falls, SC.
