Great Falls Mr. Robert Olin “Olie” Austin, 73, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his home.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednedsay, April 11, 2012 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Zack Williams, Rev. Dale Walters, and Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Tuedsay, April 10, 2012 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Austin was bornSeptember 5, 1938 in Union, SC and was a son of the late J.T. Ansel Austin, Sr. and Mamie Campbell Austin.He was a 1958 graduate of Great Falls High School where he was an outstanding tackle for the Red Devils team.He was formerly employed by J.P. Stevens and Springs Industries and a member of Second Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He is survived by his wife, Linda Munn Austin; three daughters, Barbara Gladden and husband Toby, Robyn Ott and husband Jimmy, and Brittany Linn Austin all of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Andrew Douglas “Doug” Gladden, Robert “Jake” Ott, and Joe Ott; one brother, Stephen Austin of Great Falls; one sister, Sara Lineberger of Great Falls; and a special friend Austin Broome.He was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Austin and two sisters, Frances Austin and Barbara Ruth Harkey.
