Robert "Robbie" Marion Wishert, Sr.

Robert “Robbie” Marion Wishert, Sr., 73, died Sunday, April 28, 2024 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Robbie was born April 25, 1951 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late James William Wishert and Mattie Lou Estes Wishert. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and retired as a transmission lineman having worked with both Duke Power and Shaw Electric with 35+ years of service. Robbie enjoyed bird and deer hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle. He also enjoyed horseback riding but his favorite role was being a “Papa”. Robbie was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls. He is survived by two children, Robert M. Wishert, Jr. and Tricia Wishert McCollum both of Great Falls; three grandsons, Buddy McCollum of Edgemoor and Parker McCollum and Hunter McCollum both of Great Falls; two brothers, Jim Wishert (Betty) of Blackstock and Billy Wishert of Great Falls; two nephews, Jamie Wishert (Tammy) of Lexington and David Wishert (Danielle) of Blythewood; several great nieces; and Pattie Wishert and Jim Clements of Great Falls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anna Patricia McCollum; his son-in-law, Del McCollum; and his son Robert’s girlfriend, Melissa Lindsey.
