Robert Britton Sealy

Mr. Robert Britton Sealy, 84, died Friday, October 25, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Haselden officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the atrium of the church.

Mr. Sealy was born October 30, 1939 in Great Falls, SC and was the son of the late Jay Sealy and Helen Britton Sealy. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and the Citadel, class of 1961. He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during Vietnam. After leaving the Air Force, Bob taught ROTC at the University of Alabama. After years in sales at NCR he began his career with the State Department of Education as an Auditor. He then became Chief Financial Officer of the Edgefield County Schools. Bob later retired from the Clinton School System as Assistant Superintendent. Bob was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church where he was responsible for the Parking Ministry of the church and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and believed in the spirit of the 2nd amendment to allow people to defend their honor and their country.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Michele Sealy.

He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Patsy Gregory Sealy, one daughter Donna Sealy of Irmo, SC.
