Chesnee, SC Mr. Robert Otis "Bob" Silvers, 86, died Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Pruitthealth Nursing Center in Ridgeway, SC.A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Springhill Memorial Gardens, 1011 S. Alabama Ave., Chesnee, SC with Rev. Todd Justice officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 on Tuesday at Southside Baptist Church, 609 S. Alabama Ave., Chesnee, SC. Mr. Silvers was born August 18, 1928 and was a son of the late Bulo L. and Vera Henderson Silvers.He retired from Reeves Brothers textile mill in Chesnee and later worked for Bilo and Ingles grocery stores. He was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan.Mr. Silvers was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Brenda Cobb (Doug) of Lake Wateree, SC, Sandy Butler (Ray) and Nancy Silvers both of Forest City, NC; one step-son, Richard Blackwell (Vicky) of Duncan, SC; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dot Tessneer of Shelby, NC and Freida Gillis of Greenville, SC.Mr. Silvers was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Newton Silvers, a brother and three sisters.
