Robert "Lent" Toole GREAT FALLS:Mr. Robert Leonard "Lent" Toole, Sr., 87, of 16684 U.S. Highway 21 North died Sunday November 2, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Grover Johnson, Rev. Curtis Cameron, and Rev. Owen Duncan officiating.Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Mr. Toole was born June 29, 1921 in Aiken, SC, a son of the late George Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Greene Toole.He attended Aiken County schools and was retired from Duke Power Company.A dedicated member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Mr. Toole taught Sunday School for many years and formerly served as president of the XYZ senior activity group. A devoted Christian husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. Toole is survived by his wife of 68 years, Florence Young Toole; three sons, Robert Toole, Jr. and wife Geraldine of Columbus, Indiana, Tommy Toole and wife Sharon of Leslie, SC, and Daryl Toole and wife Rhonda of Lancaster, SC; four daughters, Pat Stone and husband James of Lancaster, Judy Heubner and husband Gary of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Tate and husband Alan of Fort Lawn, and Marilyn Black and husband Ralph of Great Falls; one sister, Dorothy Green of Kingsland, SC; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Avenue, Great Falls.
