Roderick "Rocky" Bowers

Lancaster Mr. Roderick “Rocky” Philip Bowers, 64, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Interment will be private. Mr. Bowers was born June 11, 1958 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Fred Ashley and Susie Bowers Ashley. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School and attended York Tech. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired auto body technician. Rocky loved cars and motorcycles and enjoyed restoring cars. He also enjoyed gardening and auto painting. Rocky was a member of Camp Creek Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bowers; three children, Kimberly Jade Harris (Tommy) of Lancaster, SC, Amanda Rae Price (Paul) of Scranton, PA and Freddie Franceschelli (Amy) of Lancaster, SC; nine grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Joshua, Alyssa, Braydon, Adrien, Travis, Daniel and Jayce; three great-grandchildren, Makenna, Serenity and Stratton; and numerous other family members.
