Great Falls Ruby Mae Baker Roberts, 83, of Great Falls died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte.Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Great Falls Church of God with Rev. James Freeman officiating.Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Born June 14, 1926 in Great Falls, she was a daughter of the late David P. Baker and Ruby Croxton Baker.She was the widow of Floyd L. Roberts.She attended the schools of Great Falls.She retired with J.P. Stevens after 38 years of service as a weaver.Mrs. Roberts was a dedicated member of Great Falls Church of God for over 50 years.She was a member and secretary of the Senior Adult Sunday School class and was active and faithful to the Ladies Ministry Group.She helped graciously with any fundraiser that was needed. She is survived by three sons, Thomas C. Roberts and wife, Janice of Huntersville, NC and David Roberts and wife, Sandra of Evans, GA; Phillip A. Roberts and his companion, Faye Ashley of Lancaster, SC; one daughter, Marlene R. Hinson and husband, Jimmy of Lancaster, SC; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Howard P. Baker of Long Island, NY and Bobby Baker of Phoenix City, AL; and a special friend Stewart Jessie of Fort Lawn.Shewas preceded in death by three brothers, William, Perry, and Ed Baker. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:30 PM on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at Great Falls Church of God.
