Ruby Young Roberts

North Augusta, SC Mrs. Ruby Louise Young Roberts, 97, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at Heath Springs Residential Care. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Wilson and Rev. Dale Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 6924 Wateree Rd., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Roberts was born July 1, 1925 in Fairfield County, SC and was a daughter of the late James Curry Young and Maggie Bishop Young. She attended the schools of Great Falls and was a homemaker. Ruby loved tending to her flowers and making beautiful quilts. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Blackstock and former member of Second Baptist Church of Great Falls where she had perfect attendance in Sunday School for many years. She is survived by one son, Jimmy Roberts of Great Falls; one daughter, Wanda Coyle (Jimmy) of North Augusta; two grandsons, Jason Roberts (Beverly) and Jonathan Coyle (Britney); six great grandchildren, Hannah, Reagan, Emily and Josiah Coyle and Chloe and Aaron Fink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey J. “J.B.” Roberts. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Van Fund, 6924 Wateree Rd., Great Falls, SC 29055.
