Great Falls Mr. Rudolph Baker, Sr., 80, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his home.The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Baker was born June 19, 1933 in Winnsboro, SC and was a son of the late George P. Baker and Lillian Mack Branham Baker.He attended Great Falls High School and served in the U.S. Air Force and the SC National Guard.He was retired as a loom fixer from Springs Industries and formerly worked with J.P. Stevens.Mr. Baker enjoyed playing pool. He is survived by three sons, Rudolph “Rudy” Baker, Jr. of Great Falls, Timothy C. Baker of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, and Danny L. Baker and his wife Susan of Great Falls; one daughter, Wanda Baker Flynn andher husband Jack of Chester; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Roberts of Great Falls and Dot Smith of Greenville, SC; and his faithful companion “Bobo”.He was preceded in death by his wives, Martha Sneed Baker and Viola McCormick Baker, and three brothers, Marion Baker, Oscar Baker, and Henry Baker.
