Russell "Rusty" Lee Martin

Mr. Russell Lee Martin passed away Sunday August 18, 2024, at his home in Great Falls, SC surrounded by his loved ones. He was 69 years old. The family will receive friends Wednesday August 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Chase Catledge and Rev. Marty Robert officiating. Rusty was born in Chester SC and was the son of Peggy G. Martin and the late Bobby L. Martin. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School. He retired from Duke Energy after 48 years of service as a Lead Engineering Technologist. Rusty was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge #277 as well as a member of the Great Falls Hejaz Shrine Club. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Rusty’s greatest joys were spent with family and friends. He loved being outdoors, working in his shop, and riding his Harleys and tractors. Rusty was an avid family man who dedicated his whole life to his wife and family. In addition to his mother, Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Debbie Cooper Martin of Great Falls; his son, Lee Martin (Stacey) of Great Falls; his granddaughter, Allie Martin (fiancé Koby) of Great Falls; and numerous cousins. Rusty was preceded in death by his father, Bobby L. Martin and his son, Jarad F. Martin.
