Samuel Eugene Tucker

Samuel Eugene Tucker, 45, died Saturday, July 19, 2025, at MUSC Lancaster Medical Center.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 24, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating.  Interment will be private.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 23, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home.

Born February 9, 1980 in Charleston, SC, Samuel was a son of Bruce E. Tucker and the late Charlotte Ann Flynn Tucker.  He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and attended USC-Lancaster.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and employed with Giti Tire in maintenance.  Samuel attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.  Sam was an avid golfer and outdoorsman who lived to hunt and fish.

In addition to his father, Bruce E. Tucker (Debbie) of Great Falls, Sam is survived by one sister, Shannon Amick (Mike) of Rock Hill, SC; his companion, Anita Baker; his furry friends, Bandit and Buddy; two uncles, Mike Tucker (Cindy) and Roger Flynn both of Great Falls, SC; two aunts, Betty Ann Palmer (Johnny) of Chimney Rock, NC and Crystal Knight (Billy) of Bethune, SC; a niece, Stephanie Meyer (Jay) of Chapin, SC; a nephew, Travis Amick of Chapin, SC; and Jeffrey Baker whom he loved as his own son.  In addition to his mother, Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncles.
