Great Falls Mrs. Shirley Carol Starnes Jones, 71, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her home.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Batchelor and Rev. Curtis Cameron officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends anytime at the home on 5217 William Martin Rd., Great Falls, SC. Mrs. Jones was born July 21, 1939 in Lando, SC and was a daughter of the late Ezra James Starnes and Florence Bailey Starnes.She attended the schools of Lewisville and was a member of Lando United Methodist Church.She was a retired winder tender in the textile industry. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Wayne Jones and his wife Kathy of Olar, SC; one daughter, Cindy Jones and her husband Dennis of Richburg; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Case and her husband Jerry of Conway, SC.She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Jones, Sr. and a son, Bobby Lee Jones, Jr. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Southeast Division/Chester Co.
