Sonia Lineberger Loftin

Great Falls Mrs. Sonia Lineberger Loftin, 84, died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Agape House of Lexington. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Great Falls with Rev. Marty Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday at First Baptist Church. Interment will be private. Born March 30, 1939 in Great Falls, SC, she was a daughter of the late John William Lineberger and Annie Padgett Lineberger. Sonia was a graduate of Great Falls High School and the University of Tennessee. She was owner and operator of C&R Graphics of Great Falls and also worked with Zenith Engraving in Chester. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Great Falls. Sonia loved animals and would go out of her way to care for them. She enjoyed singing and playing various musical instruments. She is survived by her husband of over 14 years, Edward John “Eddie” Loftin; one son, Mark Lee “Pete” Lineberger of York; two stepsons, John Edward Loftin (Sherri) of Great Falls and David Wayne Loftin (Donna) of Edgemoor; one stepdaughter, Patricia Loftin Robinson of Great Falls; one grandson whom Sonia loved as her son, Jonathan Lawson (Krysten) of Fort Mill; a granddaughter, Ashley Lineberger of York; numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary “Winky” McCaslin of Rock Hill; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friend, Cindy Beasley; and close friend and caregiver, Jade Harris.
