Stephen Keith Austin

Mr. Stephen Keith Austin, 73, died Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Palmetto Oaks Residential Care in Pageland, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Mitford Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM also Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Mitford Baptist Church.

Mr. Austin was born November 29, 1951 in Great Falls, SC and was the son of the late J.T. Andsel Austin, Sr. and Mamie Campbell Austin. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School, was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier, he was a clerk at the time of his retirement and also  worked with Great Falls Republic Golf Course for many years. Stevie was a member of the adult teams of Basketball, Volleyball, and Softball in Great Falls. Uncle Stevie was the true definition of what an uncle should be. He loved his nieces and nephews and was always there for them.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Diane M. Austin of Great Falls, SC; nieces, Sharon Adams of Lancaster, SC, Barbara Gladden of Great Fall, SC, Stacey Laney of Lancaster, SC, Susan Austin of Indian Land, SC, his special niece and caregiver, Holly Lloyd of Great Falls, SC and Brittany Austin of Patrick, SC; numerous great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Olin Austin and J.T “Butch” Austin, Jr.; three sisters, Frances Austin, Barbara Ruth Harkey and Sara Ann Lineberger and his nephew, Barry Stephen Harkey.
