Waxhaw, NC Mr. Ted Henry Stephens, 67,died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Novant Health Medical Center in Matthews, NC.A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Shaw Wateree Recreation Area.Interment will be private. Mr. Stephens was born November 19, 1947.He was a graduate of ITT Technical School of Tampa, Florida and was a 100% service connected disabled U.S. Army veteran holding the rank of Staff Sgt. of Transportation.Ted loved horses and has owned horses since he was a child and currently has a horse named Waxhaw Missy.He was a fanatical Carolina Panthers fan and never missed a game. He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, DeborahStephens; one daughter, Tammy Stephens; two sisters, Walda and Glenda; a brother-in-law, Ed; and two nieces.In addition to his parents, Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his beloved youngest daughter, CW4 Tracy Stephens who also retired from the U.S. Army and served a tour in Iraq; his oldest sister and brother-in-law, Mae & Nyle; and his beloved pet boxers, Sissy and Penny.
