Thomas “Keith” Carnes, age 90, of Great Falls, SC passed away on Sunday December 7th, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. Keith spent the majority of his professional career employed for JP Stevens, where he eventually worked as a supervisor in the Number 2 mill. He was an avid golfer until his health declined, a devout Christian who loved to share the word of God with anyone who would listen, and the true definition of a family man. In his prime, he filled his time with chasing his children, grandchildren, and eventually great grandchildren wherever their endeavors lead them. From golf tournaments with his grandson, to Boy Scout Pinewood Derbys, to any sporting event they signed up for – he was there with a cooler and camera in tow. His children and grandchildren fondly recall the joy that he felt documenting the lives of those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Patsy Carnes. Two daughters, Cheryl Childers (Johnny) of Fort Lawn and Kathy Douglas (Joe) of Blackstock, and one son, Corey Carnes of Great Falls. Grandchildren-Scott Childers (Kelly), Matthew Barrett (Rebecca), Heather Baker (Hub), Brayden Carnes (Kelsey), and Caitlin Edmondson (Nathan). Great Grandchildren – Nelson, Hub Jr., Candace, Brandon, Lauren, Anna, Sarah, Becky Lynn, Gracie, Christian, Jaxson, Hunter, Braxton, Noah, Hadley, Bowen, and Lydia. And numerous great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas Barnwell “TB” Carnes and Eula Carnes, his mother Evelyn Lucas Miles, and one grandchild, Meagan Roberts Brantley.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at Evangel Temple Assembly of God located at 22 Nickey Rd., Great Falls, SC. The family will receive friends at 3:30 p.m., the service will follow at 4:30 p.m.
