Great Falls Tracy Michelle Stephens, 43, died Monday, October 7, 2013, after a sudden and brief illness at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 11, 2013, at Wateree Recreation Area, 2030 Baron-Dekalb Rd., Camden, SC with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Wateree Recreation Area. Ms. Stephens was born December 14, 1969 in Bremerhaven, Germany and was a daughter of Ted Stephens and Deborah Rogers Stephens.She was a graduate of El-Cajon Valley High School in El-Cajon, California, received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland, and was presently working toward her Master’s degree at USC in Lancaster. Ms. Stephens retired after more than 20 years from the U.S. Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 having served at Camp Diamondback at Mosul, Iraq and numerous other bases in the United States and abroad . In addition to her parents, Ted and Deborah Stephens of Waxhaw, NC, she is survived by one sister, Tammy Stephens of Fort Lawn; her dear friend, Chris Martin of Heath Springs; her devoted pets, Lucy and Scrappy; and many friends all over the world from her years in the military.
