Fort Lawn Mrs. Vivian Tyson Ganey, 83, died Monday, April 17, 2017, at Springs Memorial Hospital.A memorial service will beheld at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Wells officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 22,at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC.Interment will be private. Mrs. Ganey was born December 19, 1933 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late William B. Tyson and Naomi Green Tyson.She attended the schools of Great Falls and was employed with J.P. Stevens Co. for many years.Mrs. Ganey was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by one daughter, Gail Hill of Great Falls; three sons, Joseph Ganey and Tony Young both of Fort Lawn and Tim Young of Blackstock; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mrs. Ganey was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Thomas Ganey.
