Great Falls Mr. Wayne Douglas Floyd, Jr. died Monday, June 3, 2019 at his home.Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday June 6, 2019 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. John David Wilson officiating Interment will following at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday June 5, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Mr. Floyd was born April 22, 1955in Chester County and was a son of the late Wayne Douglas Floyd Sr. and Helen Knight Floyd. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and also attended York Tech. Mr. Floyd was retired from the U.S. postal service after 32 years. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Sharon Stokes Floyd; two sons, Bryant Douglas Floyd of Rock Hill, SC and Jason Wayne Floyd and his wife Melissaof Great Falls, SC; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Marsha Hinson of Great Falls, SC, Connie Williams of Winnsboro, SC and Susan E. Smith of Great Falls, SC; one step brother, David Williams of Winnsboro, SC. He was preceded in death by two sons, George Andrew Spires and Micheal Anthony Spires.
