Richburg: William Arthur “Artie” “Cowboy” Blakley, 58, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, SC.A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2014at Dantzler – Baker Funeral Home with Reverend John Parris officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will be private. Mr. Blakley was born in Chester, SC on April 19, 1956 and was a son of Betty Gibson Blakley and the late Arthur Edward Blakley. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Blakley was retired from Fort Jackson Military Base as a materials handler. “Cowboy” was a huge Waffle House fan and enjoyed the comradery he shared there with his friends. “Artie” is survived by his mother, Betty Gibson Blakley and his brother, Edward Blakley (Debbie) all of Richburg, SC and several nieces and nephews.
