Richburg Mr. William T. “Bill” Hunter, 79, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at his residence.The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Richburg with Rev. John Parrish and Rev. Curtis Cameron officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with Masonic rites. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Hunter was born February 29, 1932 in Great Falls and was a son of the late Jady Hunter and Eva Helms Hunter. He attended the schools of Great Falls and received his GED while serving in the military.He was a disabled veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during the Korean War.Bill was a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, a life member of Richburg Masonic Lodge #89 where he was a 32nd degree Mason having traveled the York and Scottish route, and a member of the Jamil Shrine Temple.He was a member of First Baptist Church of Richburg and enjoyed his family, camping and travel. He is survived by his wife, Delora W. “Tena” Hunter; one son, James Whitesell and his wife Judy of Columbia; one daughter, Sharon Lee Riley and her husband Richard of Blythewood; five grandchildren, Jimi and his wife Julie, Jaime, Jenna, Alex, and Maggie; and one great grandson, Baxter.
