William Andrew Morrison

William Andrew (Andy) Morrison age 54 passed away Thursday evening, December 25, 2025 at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Lancaster, South Carolina, but spent most of his life in Great Falls, S.C. He was the son of Shirley Morrison and the late Pearl Morrison.

In addition to his mother, Andy is survived by his sister, Faye Morrison. He leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Andy resided at the Chester-Lancaster Disabilities and Special Needs Board for fourteen years. He was a member of the Human Rights Committee where he served since 2022. It was a role he took very seriously. He was proud to advocate for everyone’s human rights. The residents and staff members were family to Andy, and he was family to them. Andy held a special place in the hearts of his staff members, they loved and cared for him dearly. Andy had a very special friend, Karen Welch to whom he left his most prized possession - his bible.

A service to honor and remember Andy’s life will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home 26 Underwood Ave, Great Falls, S.C. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
