William Russell "Rusty" Lane

William Russell “Rusty” Lane, 57, died Monday, October 21, 2024 at MUSC Charleston. The family will receive friends Friday, October 25, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Dantzler Baker Funeral Home.

Mr. Lane was born July 19, 1967 in Chester County, SC and was the son of the late William Linton Lane and Linda Faye Hallman Lane. He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and York Tech. He was a maintenance technician at GITI tire in Richburg, SC. Rusty loved the coast, fishing and trips to Key West. Wherever Rusty was he was the main attraction and the life of the party. He was a people person and enjoyed bringing happiness to others and most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his brother Scott Lane of Lancaster, SC; his uncle Ken Lucas of Great Falls, SC; his aunt Peggy Christopher (Jimmy) of Great Falls, SC; two nieces, Tori Doolittle (Johnathan) of Lancaster, SC and Summer Lawson (Matt) of Richburg, SC; four great nephews; two great nieces and several cousins and his best friend and furry companion “Gizmo”. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandmother Betty Wilson.
