Great Falls Mr. Wilson Calhoun Kennington, 79, died Monday, November 25, 2013, at Springs Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Second Baptist Church of Great Falls with Rev. Zack Williams officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. Mr. Kennington was born May1, 1934 in Lancaster County, SC and was a son of the late James B. Kennington and Stella Lucas Kennington.He attended the schools of Great Falls, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.Mr. Kennington was a sheet metal mechanic prior to retirement. He is survived by one son, Micah Scott Kennington and wife Karen of Lancaster; one daughter, Melissa Gardner of Charleston; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Mr. Kennington was preceded In death by agrandson, Shawn Gardner.
