MONROE - Charles "Fatback" Varnadore, age 64, of 738 Boyt St., Monroe, NC, diedAugust 31, 2009 at his residence.Graveside services will be Friday, September 4, 11:00 AM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church cemetery in Great Falls, SC. Born March 18, 1945 in Union County, NC,he was the son of the late Simpson Claude and Eunice Margie Varnadore.He worked in construction and attended Fairfield County schools. Surviving are four aunts, Edith V. McGarity (Wylie), Beulah V. Wright (Eddie), Linda V. Roberts (Jimmy), and Brenda V. Price all of Great Falls, and a number of nieces and nephews, and a "special cousin", Joyce W. Wright and her husband, Virgil.He is preceded in death by three brothers, Simpson Claude Varnadore, Wayne Floyd Varnadore, and Stanley Earl Varnadore.
