Great Falls Mr. Hal Rayford Dye, 82, died Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Ebenezer United Methodiat Church with Rev, John Rumford and Rev. Doug Chambers officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM on Wednesday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church and other time at the home at 5250 William Martin Rd., Great Falls, SC. Mr. Dye was born December 28, 1929 in Great Falls and was a son of the late J. Harold Dye and Elizabeth Pickett Dye..He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and served in the U.S. Air Force.Mr. Dye retired from Spratt Savings and Loan and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Scott Dye; two daughters, Carmen Woodall and husband Pat of New Mexico and Nina Mielke and husband Steve of Great Falls; two step-sons, Phillip Gahagan and wife Miriam of Greer, SC and Steve Gahagan and wife Dianne of Donalds, SC; four grandchildren, Natasha Woodall, Nick Woodall, Andrew Mielke, and Kristine Mielke; and one great-granddaughter.He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Dye Carpenter.
