Great Falls Mr. John William “Johnny” Jones, Jr., 70, died Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Magnolia Manor in Rock Hill.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Heath Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. David Ussery and Rev. Marshall Still officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends anytime at the home and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the church. Mr. Jones was born January 6, 1949 in Chester County, SC and was a son of Annie Knopf Jones and the late John W. Jones, Sr.He was a graduate of Great Falls High School and attended Charlotte Business College, Midland Technical Industrial College and BNK millwright blue print reading through Bowater.Johnny was a retired self-employed handy man.He was one of the first EMTs employed with Chester County and specifically started in Great Falls.He was a huge fan of local racing and was an avid Gamecock fan.Johnny loved his moped and, if you knew him, you know he loved KFC and Burger King. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, John Jones, III (Glenda) of Great Falls; two daughters, Julie Jones (her companion, Charles) and Jenna McInvaille (Justin) both of Great Falls; seven grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Jones (Tina) of Richburg; a brother-in-law, Tom Paul of White, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Paul. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heath Chapel UMC Building Fund, 6234 Richburg Rd., Great Falls, SC 29055.
