GREAT FALLS: MaryAgnes Banks Smith,76, of 251 Forest Lake Circle, died Sunday, August 16, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at 2:00PM, at Mitford Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Baird, Dr. James Spencer, Rev. Grover Johnson, Rev. N.J. Neely, and Rev. Scott Smoak officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. She was born May 4, 1933, in Blackstock, SC.,Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Robert Sloan and Sarah Rebecca Lewis Banks. She was a former secretary with J.P. Stevens and retired as attendance clerk at Great Falls Elementry . She was a former pianist with Mitford Baptist Church and Heath Methodist Church in Great Falls. Surviving are one son Ronnie Wood and wife Joan of Great Falls,two daughters, Ann Wood Thomas of NC, Debbie Smith Knight and husband Richie of Lancaster,a step-daughter Teri Ray of Georgia, one brother Robert S. Banks of Blackstock, one sister Estelle Shirley of Chester, grandchildren Tammy Wood of Charlotte, Amy Wood of Rock Hill, Holly Wood of Great Falls, Jasmine McLemore of NC, Hannah and Ryan Knight of Lancaster,and Cody Ray of Georgia, One great-grandchild Kamden Price of Great Falls. The family will receive friends Monday August 17,2009, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home 26 Underwood Ave. Great Falls, SC 29055. Memorials may be made to Mitford Baptist Church 467 Forest Lakes Circle, Great Falls, SC, 29055 and Shriners Hospital for Children 950 West Faris Road Greenville, SC, 29605.
