Catawba Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pope Terry, 73, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday February 24, 2023 at Great Falls Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Henry Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Dantzler Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Terry was born June 14, 1949 in Monroe, NC and was a daughter of the late Van L. Pope and Mildred Thompson Pope. She attended the schools of Great Falls, SC and was retired from Caraustar Packaging in Pineville, NC after 19 years of service. Mrs. Terry was a member of Great Falls Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by one son Randy McInvaille (Randi) of Catawba, SC; one step-son, William McArthur Terry Jr. (Tanya) of Fort Lawn, SC, two step-daughters, Crystal Vanderford (Paul) of Lancaster, SC and Tracie Pickett (Joe) of Great Falls, SC; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ida Pope “Cricket” Funderburk; one brother, Raymond Thomas (Sonny) Pope; She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Stevens, Shirley McInvaille..
