Nellie Green Roof

Nellie Green Roof, 99, went to her heavenly home on January 26, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Dantzler Baker Funeral Home, followed by a graveside memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Marty Roberts officiating.

Mrs. Roof was born on February 23, 1925, to the late Coyte and Malinda Turner Green. She was a lifelong resident of Great Falls and a devoted member of First Baptist Church. A graduate of Great Falls High School, Nellie retired from JP Stevens after many years of dedicated service. She was well-known in the community for her alterations and cherished the meaningful conversations she had with her customers. Her wit and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her grandson, Kyle Roof, and his wife, Kacie, along with her great-grandchildren, Harlee and Dawson. She also leaves behind a special niece, Karen Broome Wingo, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Roof, and her son, Donnie Roof.
