Great Falls Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth “Libby” Bowers Funderburk, 81, died Friday, December 1, 2023, at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Mrs. Funderburk was born October 5, 1942 in Great Falls, SC and was a daughter of the late John Edward Bowers and Mary Elizabeth Keziah Bowers. She was a graduate of Great Falls High School and was retired from Springs Industries. Libby was a member of Great Falls Church of the Nazarene where she sang in the choir. She is survived by one son, Dwayne Funderburk of Great Falls; one daughter, Beth Harper (Brian) of Great Falls; three grandchildren, Justin Harper, James Funderburk and Sierra Harper all of Great Falls; one brother, Edward Bowers (Cathy) of Clover; two sisters, Cheryl Garner and Vicki Nicholson (Gene) both of Rock Hill; a special niece, Deborah Marthers (Bruce) of Camden; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Libby was preceded in death by her husband of over 53 years, Ralph Mitchell Funderburk; a brother, Johnny Bowers; and a sister, Mary Lou Ramsey.
