Blackstock, SC Mr. William Harold “Bill” Love, Sr., 76, formerly of Blackstock, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Lexington Medical Center.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Susan Wight officiating.Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls. Mr. Love was born September 6, 1934 in Rock Hill, SC and was a son of the late Walter Milage Love and Mattie Long Love.He was a 1952 graduate of Great Falls High School; attended the University of SC in Columbia and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.Mr. Love was a member of the Great Falls Masonic Lodge #277 and the Hejaz Shrine Temple.He was a former member and past president of both the Great Falls United Way and the Great Falls Jaycees and member and past president of National Camping Travelers. He was retired from Duke Energy and was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife Voncile Goins Love; one son, William Harold “Billy” Love, Jr. and his wife Candi of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Melodie Love Orr and her husband Buddy of Great Falls and Roxane Love Bethea and her husband Bobby of Florence, SC; six grandchildren; and one brother, Kenneth G.
